Flexographic printing presses are used in many industries, and to ensure good printing results, it is very important to choose the right ink supply system. So what are the ink supply systems commonly used in flexo presses?

1. Ink bucket

      It is supplied by ink fountains like offset printing and letterpress printing. The use of a simplified method that does not take up space, due to the small amount of ink used, is mostly for small batch production. However, the replacement of the doctor blade and the anilox roller is troublesome.

   2.Double roll

     Although there is no scraper type in the double roll type, it is usually used to scrape off excess ink on the surface of the anilox roll to ensure the correct amount of ink is supplied to the layout. In theory, it is also possible to directly immerse the anilox roller in the ink without using a rubber roller, but the grid on the surface of the anilox roller cannot provide sufficient ink at high speed, which may cause whitening or ghosting problems. In the doctor blade mode, on the one hand, the anilox roller exchange is very easy, on the other hand, since the printing cannot be reversed and reversed, the same printing unit cannot use both the front side printing and the back side printing. In addition, it should be noted that the rubber roller is the source of flying ink and may contaminate the printed matter.

   3.Ink chamber

      A closed cavity is placed between the anilox roller and the doctor blade, and the ink is circulated. The system does not take up space; since the cavity to the ink pump is sealed, it is suitable for solvent/water inks that need to maintain a certain concentration.
